Book Festival this Saturday: January 19, 2013!

YAK Fest 2013 – Young Adult Keller Book Festival
YAK Fest is almost here…don’t miss it! Please join the Keller ISD Librarians for the 2nd annual Young Adult Keller Book Festival, an awesome event that celebrates Young Adults and the literature they love to read. Please help us get the word out to your students, parents, and teachers about this exciting event to encourage teens and give them an opportunity to interact with Young Adult authors in a non-academic setting.

What: YAK Fest – Young Adult Keller Book Festival
Where: Keller High School: 601 N. Pate Orr Rd., Keller, TX 76248

Cost: Dude, it’s free!
When: Saturday, January 19th, 2013
Times: 9 AM – 5 PM; Opening Keynote begins at 10 AM with Simone Elkeles!!
Open Door: Come when you can and stay for as long as you like, of course we want you there all day!

11:45 - 12:35 Lunch - World Blend food for purchase; Book Carriage sales Commons
12:35 - 1:25 select a panel or session Lecture Hall, Band Hall, classrooms

Because we know you’ll have questions, here are some things that CAN and WILL HAPPEN:
There will be books available for purchase from The Book Carriage, and they will be selling books all day.
The Book Carriage will accept cash and credit cards.
You may bring some books from home for authors to sign.
World Blend Coffee will have food and drinks available for purchase in the morning and at lunch.
Why, yes there is a twitter hashtag. It’s #YAKFest13 – thanks for asking. We WANT you to tweet.
Of course you can talk and have your picture taken with your favorite author(s) during the signing. We insist upon it.
